Buskerfest 3: Lockdown 2 Electric Avenue Facebook Live Event

Welcome back to Glasgow Street Music!

I have some exciting news to brighten up your lockdown 2.0; BuskersOfGlasgow have arranged BuskerFest 3, an opportunity to listen to all of your favourite Glasgow buskers directly from your living room! The Facebook live event will run over two days on the 5th and 6th of December, here’s all the important details:

Organised by Carolyn Sleith, the face behind the much loved BuskersofGlasgow Facebook page, the event is a fantastic opportunity for Glasgow’s buskers to share their talents (safely) in the midst of our second lockdown. BuskersOfGlasgow is a not for profit organisation with the sole aim to share Glasgow’s bustling busking scene to a wider audience.

Buskerfest 3 will feature 18 of Glasgow’s most loved street musicians and performers from a variety of genres, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The two-day virtual festival is a superb alternative to attending a live venue in light of the current restrictions and is an occasion to celebrate the city’s up-and-coming performers.

Feel free to check out some of the wonderful buskers featured in the event before attending the Facebook event on the 5th & 6th December:

Cameron McTavish  /   Conor Ferraioli

Dylan Cheggy Dickson  / Gary Lynass

Gordon Airlie / Gregor Hunter Coleman

Jordan Winter / Julen Santamaria

Lauren Bradley  / Liam Doyle

Maria McAveety / Maryjane

Matthew Gibb  / Matthew Ruddy

Paul Mullen  / Ross McGuire

Steffan McGechie  / The Best Bad Influence

BuskersOfGlasgow have also set up a PayPal pool to provide some additional support to the featured buskers in a time when there are very little governmental subsidies for the arts. If you can spare anything, you can donate here: http://paypal.me/pools/c/8uweoeIZhQ

I’d highly recommend you tune in to Buskerfest 3: Lockdown 2 Electric Avenue on the 5th & 6th of December to hear some of the insane talent Glasgow has to offer from the comfort of your home.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to share!

C x
